From The Daily Mail, ‘It made him look like a butler’: Retired general blasts President Obama for ordering U.S. Marine to break military rules by holding an umbrella

Barack Obama, U.S. Marines

His Highness is not amused.

What an embarrassment this braying jackass is! I know. I’m repeating myself.

Our Bystander President

It has been said that “Some people make things happen. Some people watch things happen. And then there are those who wonder, ‘What the heck just happened?” After watching the current occupant of the Oval Office, who is also sometimes laughingly known as “The Leader of the Free World,” over the last several years it’s safe to say that he not only doesn’t belong in the first category, he’s not in the second. If he is to be believed, he is clearly in the third camp, a bystander even to events caused by members of his own administration.

No one should be surprised, of course, that he appears to be a tad disconnected from the activities of those supposedly under his command. Recall that this is the same man who attended a church led by a racist, Jew-hating, screeching anti-American lunatic for 20 years, and claimed to have no idea about the incendiary content of his preacher, Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s, sermons. This is also the man who emerged smelling like the proverbial rose, a transcendent figure riding a unicorn over a rainbow, and promising a new beginning for America full of hope, change and transparency, despite arriving on the political scene as the spawn of ACORN by way of the Cook County political machine. That is the same stinking slough of corruption that produced former Illinois governor/current inmate Rod Blagojevich. Both the disgraced governor and Barack Obama shared the same benefactor, one Tony Rezko. Mr. Rezko made it possible for the Obamas to purchase their Chicago mansion, a house that they couldn’t have afforded without Rezko’s help. Yet, after the Chicago Sun-Times questioned Mr. Obama about depending on such a dubious source of financial assistance for the purchase of his family home, Barack claimed that he had no idea about Mr. Rezko’s many shady dealings. Tony went to the steel hotel, sentence to 10.5 years back in November 2011. Barack went to the White House, not once, but twice. It’s true! Ignorance IS bliss!

Before his first election in 2008, we learned that his aunt was living illegally in the United States. He had no idea, he said. She attended his first inauguration, and amazingly was granted amnesty. He also had no idea that his Department of Justice was conducting a dangerous gun walking scheme that ultimately caused the murder of Border Agent Brian Terry and the deaths of hundreds of Mexican citizens.

Now we have a new round of things that Barack Obama didn’t have any idea had happened, even though the responsible parties are all part of his administration. He is outraged. He demands accountability. It’s as if he is a bystander, rather than the person ultimately responsible for what happened. If this is leadership, then Hillary Clinton is as honest as the day is long.

Under Barack Obama’s watch, the Internal Revenue Service deliberately targeted conservative groups, including those devoted to educating people about our Constitution, by subjecting them to extremely burdensome requests for information, intrusive questioning about their donors, and the speakers they hosted, and even what books they read. One group, hoping to accelerate the processing of their application to be a tax-exempt organization, which was taking years, sent a copy of the Constitution. I’m not sure that submission was helpful. It probably confirmed the Obama IRS’ suspicion that they were dangerous subversives.

Barack Obama had no idea any that this highly improper activity was going on until he read it in the newspapers. Nor did he know about his Justice Department’s subpoena of AP reporters phone records, a huge fishing expedition that Eric Holder, who also claims to know very little about it, is trying to cover up with the universal fig leaf “national security.”

Then there is Benghazi, the “bump in the road” that inconveniently included the murder of four brave Americans. Barack was wheels up to Vegas on 9/11/12, off to a pre-election fundraiser, so he couldn’t be expected to know what happened there. Nor should we hold him responsible for the fact the numerous requests by our people in Libya were ignored, requests that should have taken seriously given the previous attacks on the consulate and the assassination attempt on the British ambassador in June, 2012.

Who exactly is in charge here?

I’m sure that there are some cynical bitter clingers among you who recall that Barack Obama is the first president since Richard Nixon to characterize his political opposition as “enemies,” and who has advocated that they be “punished,” and suggest that his claims of ignorance ring hollow. I can’t argue with you.

We’ve gone from “The Buck Stops Here,” to “We Are the Ones We’ve Been Waiting For” to “There’s No There There.” For once, Barack Obama, at least referring to his own leadership and acceptance of responsibility, is correct.

Dem Senator Says Current IRS Scandal Just the Tip of the Iceberg

It’s Sen. Max Baucus, he of Obamacare “train wreck” fame. From the Washington Examiner:

Senior Democratic Sen. Max Baucus, who recently slapped Obamacare as a “train wreck,” believes that the IRS scandal is just beginning and that “a lot more” damaging information will be revealed, likely at congressional hearings.

“I have a hunch that a lot more is going to come out, frankly,” Baucus, whose pending retirement seems to have freed him up to speak bluntly, told Bloomberg Government’s “Capitol Gains” TV show.

Moments ago, during testimony from former acting IRS chief Steve Miller before the House Ways and Means Committee, we learned that last Friday’s disclosure of the targeting by Tea Party and other conservative groups was NOT some off-the-cuff answer to a question from the audience at a meeting of tax attorneys. Not only was it was pre-planned. The questioner was an IRS operative. From Kevin Williamson at National Review:

In fact, the question came from tax lawyer and lobbyist Celia Roady. Ms. Roady has some interesting career highlights: She was part of the 1997 ethics investigation of Newt Gingrich, but, more to the point, she was appointed to the IRS’s Advisory Council on Tax-Exempt and Government Entities by IRS commissioner Douglas Shulman. She is a longtime colleague of Lerner, who is director of tax-exempt organizations. Ms. Roady has declined to comment on whether her question was planted, but it obviously was. The IRS had contacted reporters and encouraged them beforehand to attend the otherwise un-newsworthy event, and it had an entire team of press handlers on hand. So what we have is the staged rollout of what turns out to be — given the rest of this list — a disinformation campaign.

So, we have a rolling disclosure, which is the classic M.O. of those with a lot to hide.

The floodgates are about to open. Stay tuned.

Best Headline of Obama Scandal Tuesday

Constitution, IRS, Tea Party

From ABC News, IRS Asks for Reading List, Tea Party Group Sends Constitution, thereby I’m sure confirming that they were engaging in subversive activity that earned them a place on Obama’s Enemies List.

This just in: Founding Fathers’ corpses spinning so fast you could cut meat on them.

Founding Fathers

Sorry, Guys. Barack Obama’s never been a fan of your work.

The First Amendment under Assault

Don’t for a moment think this was an accident lapse in judgement. It’s right there in Saul Alinski’s playbook, #13:

Washington (CNN) – Officials at the Internal Revenue Service knew in June 2011 that their agents were targeting conservative groups for additional scrutiny on tax documents, an inspector general report to be released this week is expected to say, according to a congressional source familiar with the inquiry.

Further, an early timeline of events compiled by the inspector general and obtained by CNN indicates the agency’s practice of singling out conservative groups began as early as March 2010, and in July of that year, unidentified managers within the agency “requested its specialists to be on the lookout for tea party applications.” In August, specialists were warned to be on the lookout for “various local organizations in the tea party movement” applying for tax-exempt status. The specific criteria would change several times over the next two years, according to a portion of the report.

Let’s recall what was happening back in March, 2010. Like this:

The March Against The First Amendment

The March Against The First Amendment

This was Nancy Pelosi with her gavel marching with her minions to pass the Health Care Act, on a Sunday no less, March 21, 2010. This is the march that members of Congress reported they were spit on and racial epithets were hurled. The TEA Party bristled with indignation. The planned to have these people removed from Congress. They would organize. They demanded repeal.

A week later, after passage of this monstrosity (“We have to pass the bill to find out what’s in the bill.”), the Hutaree militia in Michigan was arrested by the Joint Terrorism Task Force.

The Hutaree Militia was a group who could have had their own reality TV show like The Duck Dynasty if it hadn’t been for a current Supreme Court Justice. Two weeks before they were arrested in late March (28-30) of 2010 on charges of seditious conspiracy, they were out in the woods helping local law enforcement look for a lost child.

Two years (to the day) after their arrests came the ruling which I wrote about:

In a sharp rebuke, a federal judge today acquitted seven members of a Lenawee County militia group of plotting to overthrow the U.S. government with weapons of mass destruction.

U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts said federal prosecutors failed in five weeks of trial to prove that the Hutaree had a specific plan to kill a police officer and attack law enforcement personnel.

That’s gunna leave a welt.

I will update this entry as time provides, but suffice it to say this was all about the Health Care debate. These arrests happened one week after the House passed ObamaCare and certain representatives claimed to have been spit on during their march through the TEA party opposing the passage.

Don’t ever forget Elena Kagan was the Solicitor General at the time, when these people were granted bond by this judge. She have to approve the appeal of the bond. She kept these people in jail for political purposes. [emphasis added]

The prosecutor was asked about the acquittal, which at the time I also wrote about:

In her first remarks since the case was gutted, U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade said she wouldn’t have handled the case differently and “strongly” disagrees with the judge’s interpretation of federal conspiracy law.

She can disagree all she wants, and she certainly has the right to do so, but that’s not the scary part. The scary part is she hasn’t learned anything from this defeat.

Militia members are finding that resuming their lives isn’t easy. Despite his acquittal, Michael Meeks of Manchester, Mich., said he can’t open a bank account yet because the bank told him he’s still on a terror watch list.

Completely exonerated and he can’t even get a bank account.

Told of the troubles, McQuade didn’t seem moved.

It’s the consequences of their actions,” the prosecutor told the AP.

This is how vindictive these people are. Elena Kagan, then the Solicitor General refused these people bond, knowing this case was either flimsy at best or political at worst. Either way she should be impeached for this behavior.

Now the IRS has admitted to breaking the law to prevent TEA Party activists from gaining a tax exempt status. What should the “consequences of their actions” be?

I’m thinking “seditious conspiracy” fits here.
